Formed in 2014, Spin Cycle is a contemporary jazz quartet led by drummer Scott Neumann and saxophonist Tom Christensen. Known for their dynamic range and adventurous spirit, the band seamlessly blends influences—from Coltrane’s modal jazz to New Orleans second-line grooves to the boundary-pushing edge of free jazz.

With an all-star lineup featuring guitarist Pete McCann and bassist Matt Pavolka, Spin Cycle has toured extensively across the US and Canada, performing in clubs, concert halls, and universities. Each show brings a fresh perspective, thanks to their original compositions and deep musical chemistry. With three acclaimed albums under their belt and a fourth on the way via Sound Footing Records, Spin Cycle continues to push jazz forward—one bold, expressive performance at a time.
