A Schoharie County musical legend, “The Rubber Band” was formed in the mid-80’s and introduced Cajun/Zydeco music to Upstate NY. The 7 piece band has performed for audiences from Ocean City to Lake Placid, Rochester to Norwalk; festivals, concerts, weddings, dance parties and road houses too numerous to mention! Four original members have played together for over 35yrs.; Jack DuPont (accordion/vocals), Clemens McGiver (bass/vocals), Jon Mix (drums/vocals) and Chuck Matteson (percussion/vocals). Add Kristina Johnson (saxophone), Larry Mazza (guitar/vocals) and Tom White (fiddle, mandolin/vocals) to complete the unique “Rubber Band” sound.
